Drawing

I read Purple Podded Peas blog today and the drawing commitment appealed to me, so I've decided to join in.  I'm a day late starting, so this evening when I had closed the workshop doors, I sat and sketched  and did two small drawings, one for today and one to catch up.  In the middle of the session it began to rain, I tried to work through it, but soggy paper and more smudging than drawing brought it to a close.

I am looking forward to this discipline and to getting something in my sketch book every day this month.

See Gabriella's blog for more details about how you can be part of the challenge.

  1. I like your watering can study very much. Won't it be interesting to see if and how our drawings change if we make it to the end of the month.

    1. I am determined to make it! And yes, so interesting, I think part of the reason I'm doing it - definitely want to see some improvement! Hopefully I will be bold enough to experiment on some days too. Thankyou for introducing!

  3. My friend Matt Lyon, a graphic artsist did a drawing a day for a year, and I think he's doing it again this year! As for me: I never seem to manage a drawing a day even for a week. .. . . Good luck with it Jennifer, your drawings are fab!

    1. Now that is the sort of discipline I need to enter into Sue, a drawing a day - that would be a challenge indeed.

Perhaps all RAW members could join something of this sort - we'd end up with an exhibition's worth (at least).
