Nearly Ready

Just making final preparations for opening my workshop on Friday as part of the North Yorkshire Open Studio event.

Painting plinths and shelves, (good job the geese are already white), sweeping and tidying and placing sculpture to look its best.

Keep dashing between jobs as one minute we have black skies, thunderstorms, dramatic lightening and heavy downpours and the next baking brilliant sunshine.  Must check the weekend forecast.  Oh, and get my signs ready.

Best get back to it!

  1. It always amazes me how much time it takes to get ready for these things - I know so many think it just happens and its an easy life being creative, little do they know!!! :) Best wishes, hope the paint dries in time and you have lots of visitors (dare I say with cash in hand!!! SSSh, fingers crossed) :)

  2. Thanks Ash - actually I love preparing and getting tidy (the workshop needed it!), and talking to visitors about my processes and work. My sculptures adore all the attention too, getting handled and stroked! And as you say, maybe a new home!
